Insights Page and Trend Analysis Usage
Who this is for
Users who want to see proactive AI-generated findings about their infrastructure, performance problems, security risks, cost waste, and reliability issues, before they become incidents.
Before you begin
- At least one server or cloud account must be connected.
- Navigate to AI Insights in the left sidebar.
What the AI Insights page shows
AI Insights is separate from the real-time Monitoring dashboard. Rather than charts and metric history, it shows a list of AI-generated finding cards. Each card represents a specific issue or recommendation identified by CloudAIPilot's analysis engine.
Each insight card includes:
- Title: a concise description of the finding (e.g., "High memory usage trend on server-prod")
- Category: Performance, Security, Cost, or Reliability
- Severity: Critical, Warning, or Info
- Server and account: which server or cloud account the insight applies to
- Time: when the finding was generated
Insight categories
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Performance | High CPU sustained over hours, disk I/O bottleneck, memory pressure |
| Security | Open ports that shouldn't be exposed, outdated packages with known CVEs |
| Cost | Underutilized server candidate for downsizing, idle resources |
| Reliability | Server uptime concerns, missing monitoring coverage, configuration risks |
Filtering insights
Use the filter chips at the top to narrow the list:
- Category: All, Performance, Security, Cost, Reliability
- Severity: All, Critical, Warning, Info
- Cloud Account: filter by a specific connected cloud account
- Server: filter by a specific server
Acting on insights
Each insight card links to the relevant server or resource. After investigating and taking action:
- Click Dismiss on the insight card to mark it as handled.
- Click Dismiss All at the top to clear all current insights at once.
Dismissed insights are removed from the list. If the same condition recurs, a new insight may appear again.
What "All clear" means
When all insights have been dismissed (or none have been generated), the page shows "All clear, CloudAIPilot is continuously monitoring your infrastructure. No issues detected right now." This means the AI has no current findings requiring your attention.
What success looks like
- Critical and Warning insights are reviewed and dismissed after taking corrective action.
- The list reaches "All clear" on a regular basis, indicating proactive infrastructure health.
