What is Agency Mode?
Agency Mode is a B2B reseller layer built into CloudAIPilot. When your billing account is configured as an agency account, you gain access to a dedicated Agency Dashboard that lets you manage multiple independent client organisations from a single control plane — without merging their data, users, or billing.
Think of it as a control tower: your agency org sits above. Each client has their own isolated organisation with their own servers, sites, apps, and users. You can see across all of them, act on their behalf (within configured permissions), and control how your brand appears inside their dashboard.
What Agency Mode includes
Client organisation management Create new client organisations directly from your agency dashboard, link existing CloudAIPilot organisations as clients, and suspend, reactivate, or offboard clients at any time.
Cross-org aggregated views All client servers, sites, apps, databases, cloud accounts, backups, and active alerts in one panel. Activity feed aggregated across every client you manage.
Staff assignments and roles Add staff members to your agency account. Assign each staff member to specific client organisations. Create custom agency roles with granular permission sets.
Per-client resource quotas Set hard limits on how many servers, sites, and other resources each client can provision. Quotas are enforced automatically.
White-label branding Upload your logo and favicon. Set a custom brand name and subtext. Your branding replaces the CloudAIPilot identity inside client dashboards.
Client reports Generate per-client infrastructure and cost summary reports. Export as CSV for client billing or internal tracking.
Agency API keys Programmatic access to all agency endpoints using keys prefixed cpa_agy_. Use in your own automation pipelines, client portals, or billing systems.
Cross-org notifications Alerts and events from client organisations automatically fan out to agency staff assigned to that client. Each staff member configures their own notification channels.
How to qualify for Agency Mode
Agency Mode is available on Agency-tier billing plans.
- Log in and navigate to Billing in your organisation settings.
- Upgrade to an Agency-tier plan or email support@cloudaipilot.com.
- Once your billing account is upgraded, the Agency section appears in your sidebar automatically.
- If the Agency section does not appear, log out and log back in to refresh your session.
What Agency Mode is NOT
- Not a way to merge multiple organisations. Each client org remains fully isolated.
- Not visible to clients. Clients do not know which other clients you manage.
- Not a bypass for user permissions. Staff operates under the role boundaries you configure.
- Not a shared credential store. Each client's cloud credentials stay private to their org.
Common errors
Agency section missing after plan upgrade Cause: Session token cached the old plan entitlements. Fix: Log out fully and log back in.
"Not authorised" accessing the agency dashboard Cause: Your user does not have the Agency Partner role on this billing account. Fix: Ask the account owner to assign you via Agency > Staff.
Client list visible but all views are empty Cause: No client organisations have been linked yet. Fix: See KB-14-02 to create or link your first client.
