Get Certified: how the program works

Who this is for

Use this article if you want to earn a CloudAIPilot certification, a shareable credential that shows you have hands-on experience running real infrastructure through the platform, not just an account signup.

Prerequisites

• An active CloudAIPilot account.
• No manual application, request, or payment. The certification checklist is available to every account from the Account menu and tracks itself automatically as you use the product.

How it works

The certification is based entirely on things you have actually done in CloudAIPilot, connecting real accounts, provisioning real infrastructure, running real deployments. Nothing on the checklist is self-reported, and there is no separate "mark as complete" button anywhere. Each item turns on by itself the moment the underlying action is detected on your account.

There are two tiers, and both matter:

Foundation, all 4 required

Proficiency, any 3 of 4 required

You need all 4 Foundation items and at least 3 of the 4 Proficiency items. The moment you cross that bar, the certification is awarded, you do not need to finish the 4th Proficiency item too, though it will still show as completed on your certificate if you happen to have it.

What success looks like

Once earned, your certification is valid for one year from the day you earned it. Your Account menu shows a certificate card with:

• Your name and a credential ID.
• Only the specific skills you actually completed: a certificate never lists something you have not done, even if you are just one item short of a full 4-of-4 Proficiency score.
• A "Cloud Providers" line that reflects the real providers connected to your account, so it stays accurate if you add more later.
• Issue date and expiry date.

From there you can download it, decide whether to make it publicly shareable, and renew it before it expires. Those actions are covered in Sharing, verifying, and renewing your certificate.

Common questions

I connected a cloud account but the checklist still shows it as not done. Milestones are attributed to whichever CloudAIPilot account actually performed the action. If a teammate connected the account on a shared organization, it will not count toward your personal checklist, you need to have done it yourself.

I completed something before this feature existed, why doesn't it count? Attribution data for the checklist only exists going forward from when this feature shipped. Older resources created before that point are not retroactively counted, even if they still exist on your account today.

Why does Proficiency only need 3 of 4 when Foundation needs all 4? Foundation covers the basic setup every real user goes through, there is no reasonable way to skip any of it. Proficiency covers different operational skills, and requiring all 4 would force everyone into notification setup or MCP even if their actual work is elsewhere. Requiring 3 of 4 still means genuine breadth without one narrow requirement blocking everyone.

Safety notes

The certification is designed to represent real usage, not encourage actions taken purely to collect a badge. Nothing about the checklist changes how the underlying features work, and there is no way to mark an item complete without actually doing it.
