Maintenance Windows and Safe Operations
Overview
Maintenance Mode suppresses alert notifications for a specific server for a chosen duration. Use it before planned reboots, disk resizes, or other disruptive operations to avoid spurious alerts.
Enabling Maintenance Mode
- Open the server detail page.
- In the header action bar (top right), click the Maintenance dropdown button. This button only appears when the server is Running.
- Select a duration: 1 hour, 4 hours, 24 hours, or 3 days.
- A yellow banner appears at the top of the server detail page confirming maintenance mode is active and showing when it ends.
Ending Maintenance Mode Early
When maintenance mode is active, the Maintenance dropdown button is replaced with an End Maintenance button. You can also click End Now in the maintenance banner.
What Maintenance Mode Does
- Alert notifications for this server are suppressed for the chosen duration.
- Events are still recorded — no monitoring data is lost.
- The server continues to operate normally. Maintenance mode only affects notifications.
