Maintenance Windows and Safe Operations
Overview
When you need to perform disruptive operations (like upgrading the OS kernel or resizing a disk that requires a reboot), it is best practice to declare a Maintenance Window.
Muting Alerts
If you manually reboot a server without telling CloudAIPilot, the monitoring engine will immediately fire a "Server Offline" critical alert to your Slack or Email.
To prevent alert fatigue:
- Go to the Server Overview tab.
- Click the
...menu and select Enable Maintenance Mode. - Choose a duration (e.g., 1 hour).
- All monitoring alerts for this specific server will be snoozed.
*Note: Background orchestration (like scheduled backups) will also be paused during this window to prevent data corruption.*
